About Tomzap

Tomzap is a rock and roll group from Leander, Texas, composed of

  • Tom Penick   Guitar, Vocals
  • Rodger Hutchins   Bass Guitar, Keyboards, Vocals
  • Shane Meister   Drums, Vocals
  • Brian Chase   guest musician adding Keyboards & Vocals

Tomzap plays mostly original songs plus a few cover songs including 3 Spanish-language songs from the band, Soda Stereo. We like to play good time rock and roll, that is, we choose mostly songs that are upbeat, positive, and fun. Both the originals and the cover songs are an ecletic mix from past and present. The name Tomzap is borrowed from another active project, The Pacific Coast of Mexico.

In the song list below, you will find "play" links to listen to most of the songs. "About" links take you to lyrics and descriptions. Some live recordings are available on the Past Dates page.

Hire Us

Contact us by email: tom@tomzap.com. We would love to play at your party or venue and will do so at a price you can afford. We do not use instrument amplifiers and we use electronic drums so we are capable of playing at either very low or high volumes, and we are only 3 or 4 people so we don't need much room.
